Starting ‘on the tools’ 17 years ago, I worked as a tree surgeon in Somerset before moving into gardening. I soon found myself working alongside a garden designer in the area, on both their own garden and projects.

Those early days of tending the garden and assisting in its design and development, led to a greater appreciation of garden design and the purpose it serves; creating beautiful, natural, outdoor spaces for people to enjoy.

Over the years my working experience has covered a wide range of horticultural roles, each one has expanded my gardening knowledge and helped to hone my design skills and techniques. Some of my earlier garden design and development work was in large private gardens, one of which opens on the National Garden Scheme and has been quoted as being 'the best garden in North Devon'.

While working and nurturing a passion for horticulture this led to pursuing academic and educational experience, including study at both RHS Rosemoor and the Eden project. My qualifications include certification in Arboriculture, two RHS Diplomas and a Garden Design Diploma from the National Design Academy.

In 2023 I made my first steps into show gardens. I designed a garden for the Taunton Flower Show and achieved a Silver Gilt award as well as the prestigious Best Show Garden - The Peoples Choice award.
